Who We Are
Savanna Historical Society NFP is a tax-exempt nonprofit 501c3 organization of over 500 members. An Illinois Corporation chartered in 2007.
What We Do
Events and Exhibits are held in a newly remodeled 15,000 sq ft Museum & Cultural Center on Main St in Savanna, IL. Permanent exhibits include 1200 sq ft hand- crafted working scale Railroad; 100 full sized Civil War mannequins, each with a story: Wayne King-the Waltz King. New in May, 2021 is the Helen Scott Hay exhibit of internationally famous WWI nurse and in Oct., the Smithsonian traveling exhibit "Voices & Votes. Annual Events include a 3-week Festival of Trees, and a variety of programs and speakers, year round.
